Diario de un mago/ Wizard´s diary

Esto es algo que empecé hace un tiempo y sigue a medias.Un proyecto de diario ficticio con imágenes de animales mitológicos y escritura tomada del manuscrito Voynich.Papel envejecido con café en este caso.

This is something I started some time ago and it´s still unfinished.A project of a fictional diary with mithycal animals and text taken from Voynich manuscript.Paper is aged with cofee in this case.

Gusanos / Worms

Algo de lo último que estoy haciendo... probando resistencia del Sculpey con el agua y los acrílicos...

Envejecido de cristal : las botellas y etiquetas son modernas , lo único antiguo en estas fotos son los corchos .

El cristal está lijado para matar el brillo del cristal nuevo y las etiquetas son estilo antiguo tratadas con nogalina , lija y café...

Texto escrito con plumín y tinta tipo anilina.

Some of my last things... testing Sculpey resistance to water and acrylic paint...

Aging cristal : bottles and labels are modern , the only real vintage in this photos are the corks.The cristal is sanded to take out the shining of the new cristal and labels are scans from vintage ones sanded and weathered with wallnut cristal ink and coffee whashes.

Text written with pen and aniline ink.

Envejecimiento de madera / aging wood

Una prueba que hice con una caja de madera pequeña comprada en un todo a un ecu. La madera era muy porosa , por lo que absorbía bien lavados y aguadas de nogalina y acuarela...Un poco de epóxido para convertir los tornillos de estrella en clavos y ... terminada.

A test done with a small wood box bought at 1 dollar shop...Wood was quite absorbent so it got very well the watercolor and wallnut ink cristal solution washes... A little bit of epoxi to turn screws into nails...and finished.

Un proyecto que está a medias . Mi primera "escultura" con Supersculpey.

Después de probar este material , no se me ocurre volver a tocar el Fimo. El supersculpey es como trabajar con plastilina , totalmente maleable y fácil de usar.Se cuece a 130 grados durante 15 min y ya está ...

Este duende tiene base de esqueleto de alambre , y está hecho en dos fases : una para las formas generales y otra para añadir algo de detalle.

Falta colocarle las alas y alguna que otra cosa con la pintura...

After testing this clay , I wont use Fimo anymore.Supersculpey is like work with clay...easy to work with it and very flexible.Just cook it into the oven at 130 degrees during 15 minutes and its done...

This pixie has a wire esqueleton and its done in two steps: one for basic forms and another to add detail.

I have to add the wings and finish a little bit the painting...
